Job Purpose:

The purpose of this position is to market and position Iemas Insurance Brokers at existing and potential Employer Groups that will enable business growth and sustainability of Group Schemes business. The person will further be responsible to conduct market research and provide guidance in terms of current and future business opportunities for group schemes & individual life.

Job Outputs:

  • Responsible for identifying new groups and signing them on for Group Schemes & other insurance products
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy per group/stakeholder
  • Assist with the implementation of effective marketing and communication strategies and plans for each specified target group
  • Ensure excellent customer service by conducting informal market research/satisfaction surveys on Iemas€™s service delivery, product offering and processes and identify gaps for improvement.
  • Identify, build and maintain strong relationships with participating Employer Group stakeholders


  • Matric
  • Qualification in Marketing or Business Management is recommended
  • Must have completed the Regulatory Examination
  • Must have a valid driver€™s license


  • 3-5 years€™ experience in Marketing or Business Development
  • Experience in Life Insurance industry is strongly recommended

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must have understanding of the Insurance market
  • Computer literate including Powerpoint
  • Technical product knowledge
  • Knowledge of marketing strategies
  • Understanding of Key Account Management
  • Understanding of relevant legislation in the industry
  • Written and Verbal communication skills
