Job Purpose:

To successfully implement the HR strategy of Iemas on departmental level by applying leading edge HR practices and technology to the benefit of the department and Iemas Financial Services.

Job Outputs:

  • Drive the agreed talent management solutions that will attract, retain and develop key talent within Iemas
  • Consistently apply the agreed recruitment methodology and employment policy to ensure Iemas employs the right persons for each role
  • Support managers in implementing practices that shall drive employees to perform at the required performance standards
  • Ensure that the HR Administration is accurately captured and deliverables executed on time
  • Ensure all employees are aware of and understand the policies, practices and procedures applicable to them with the aim of securing compliance with both internal and external employment regulations
  • Enhance employee relations within the business
  • Assist in the facilitation of Iemas€™s disciplinary/performance processes and be able to represent Iemas at the CCMA when required

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12/Matric
  • Post-school qualification in Human Resources Management or Industrial Psychology
  • Qualification in Labour Relations or Labour Law will be an advantage
  • Computer literacy (MS Office)
  • Code 08 driver€™s license

Experience:

  • 4 years€™ operational work experience in human resources focusing on recruitment & selection, job design, employee relations and performance management.
  • Experience in and understanding of the CCMA is required
  • Experience in Banking and the Financial Services industry will be an advantage

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Application knowledge of relevant legislation e.g. EE, LRA and BCEA
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • Technical knowledge of human resources practices
  • Knowledge and understanding of CCMA rules and processes
  • Strong relationship building skills
