Job Purpose:

To register new claims and to obtain information from insured or designated persons for purpose of submitting claims to insurance company for settlement.

Job Outputs:

  • Receive claim notifications from members and provide adequate support
  • Review insurance policy to determine coverage of the incident and refer to relevant person
  • Capture claim information
  • Explain claims process to the members and obtain supporting documents
  • Submit claims to the insurer for settlement and/or for further investigation
  • Liaise with member regarding Insurance Assist and other possible claims 
  • Organise towing and emergency support where applicable

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12
  • 30 FAIS credits is an advantage
  • Regulatory exam is an advantage

Experience:

  • 6-12 months Contact Centre experience
  • 6 months Short Term Insurance and Claims experience is an advantage

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Multilingual, including English
  • Computer literate (MS office including Outlook)
  • Excellent telephone etiquette
  • Empathetic
  • Ability to cope under pressure
  • Problem solving skills
