Job Purpose:

To administer and monitor all corporate digital platforms as well as support the Senior Digital Marketing Officer with the successful execution of the digital marketing and other public relations strategies.

Job Outputs:

  • Monitoring and maintenance of all digital platforms
  • Formulate, schedule and post content as per the digital strategy
  • Investigate opportunities to grow audiences
  • Ensure the corporate website is updated with new developments and/or information
  • Grow, compile and maintain PR media lists
  • Investigate new platforms and publications for dissemination of public relations content
  • Management of external stakeholders
  • Content creation for Iemas Blog and Iemas Weekly
  • Testing of platforms when needed and feedback provided upon completion
  • Use Google Analytics and other measurement tools to provide reports on metrics

Qualifications:

  • Matric/Grade 12
  • Diploma in Communications/Public Relations/Marketing
  • Qualification in Digital Marketing (Social media, SEO, Google Analytics and internet application software) is recommended
  • Valid drivers' licence

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in social media engagement (content writing, moderating, engagement, SEO maintenance and support)
  • Minimum 3 years' work experience in Public Relations, Corporate Communication and/or Marketing
  • Creative Agency experience will be an advantage

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Very high attention to detail and planning
  • Report writing skills and identifying actions for implementation
  • Proficiency in Power Point and Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of popular social networks-design, functionality and users
  • Understanding and literacy in graphic design programmes will be an advantage
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Co-operative attitude and team player
  • Willingness to work outside of normal working hours
  • Time management skills and ability to multitask
  • Ability to establish rapport with internal and external clients
