Job Purpose:

To provide all aspects of desktop software and hardware (including peripherals) support and computer services to end users including the provision of remote support.

Job Outputs:

  • First line user support
  • First level fault resolution on desktop application, multifunctional devices and infrastructure
  • Vendor and third party incident management
  • Site visits and maintenance
  • Preventative maintenance
  • Projects (Ad hoc and Planned)
  • Management reporting

Qualifications:

  • Matric
  • MCTS/MCP/MCSA certification
  • MCITP: Server Administrator is advantageous or and/or MCDST
  • ITIL Foundations certificate is advantageous

Experience:

  • 1 - 3 years relevant experience in a customer support environment

Knowledge and Skills:

  • The individual must be qualified to diagnose and repair problems on computer equipment with the ability to operate at a skill level where he/she can operate independently
