Job Outputs:

Ensure that network and telecoms infrastructure are operational and maintained
Monitor the system performance daily against benchmarks or baseline standards.
System service pack updates and patch maintenance.
Systems configuration and set up according to requirements.
Incident- and change control management
Track incident trends ensuring pro-active availability and capacity of system.
Implement required changes on systems as approved.
Availability management planning according to business requirements and admin IT guidelines
Capacity Management
Network, and telecoms infrastructure design, implementation, optimization and administration
Server configurations, setup and maintenance
Manage and plan IP addresses deployment within the enterprise network.
Proactively researches and locate necessary tools and processes to identify and proactively avert troublesome trends as they develop.
System configuration documentation (Create and document all network processes and keep documentation updated as processes and services change.)
Project installations and onsite assignments (Site visits nationwide).
Disaster Recovery Management
Management Reporting


A+, N+, and MCP certification
MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) an advantage
Cisco certification (CCNP R&S/CCDP/CCIP an advantage
ITIL recommended
Code 8 drivers€™ license


Minimum 2 years€™ experience in Cisco Routing and Switching environments, and MPLS networks
Solid understanding of Routing protocols (EIGRP, BGP, OSPF), Switching protocols (Spanning Tree Protocol, VTP, VLANs, Trunking), and First Hop Redundancy Protocols (HSRP, GLBP, VRRP).
Expert knowledge of TCP/IP protocol.
Manage H
Minimum 2 years€™ experience in Voice over IP and Power over Ethernet Telecoms System
Minimum 4 years€™ technical experience in LAN, WAN, WiFi and Internet protocols.

Knowledge and Skills:

Willing to work overtime/be on standby when required.
Ability to work in a team.
Ability to take ownership of tasks and work unattended.
Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting skills (hardware and software).
Customer service orientated.
