Job Purpose:

We are looking for a qualified and experienced individual who will manage and oversee the franchise activities.

Job Outputs:

  • Implementation of a growth strategy for the franchise unit
  • Leads creation through Iemas database and employer groups
  • Managing and achieving financial results
  • Design and execute on strategy to systemize all functions and policies
  • Knowledge and input into compliance, legislation and applicable regulations
  • Compile, manage and monitor sales budget
  • Manage source development
  • Manage policy conservation and retention
  • Manage key stakeholder relations
  • Performance management including the setting and guidance in achieving sales targets
  • Compile relevant management reports
  • Recruitment of independent contractors
  • Relationship management between independent contractor and Iemas Financial Services employer groups
  • Co-ordination of all training requirements between the independent contractor and Old Mutual

Qualifications:

  • Matric
  • Post-school qualification relevant for Key Individual registration (NQF level 5)
  • Regulatory examination for Key Individual and Representative

Experience:

  • 5 years€™ operational work experience in life insurance, specifically in the middle to high income segment
  • Minimum 3 years€™ managerial work experience in life insurance, specifically in a sales

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Computer literacy (MS Office)
  • Valid Driver€™s license 
  • Application knowledge of relevant legislation e.g. FICA and FAIS 
  • Financial acumen 
  • Strong industry knowledge and engagement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Technical product knowledge
  • Knowledge of franchise environment distribution channels and marketing & product development strategies
  • Ability to formulate, implement and drive innovative and effective sales strategies
